A young couple Christine and James are celebrating her graduation and acceptence in Oregon college with her parents Doug and Ellen at a restaurant. When James makes a topic out of their marriage and raising kids together, Ellen pushes the idea down, clarifying it's important for Christine get her education first than to play home. James tries to fight against them, but Doug supports his wife. As they leave the restaurant, Christine and James get into a fight, he is offended by Christine not saying anything to protect him. Christine's parents argue about Doug's lack of education and suddenly train hits their car. Christine gets bad news lying in the hospital bed, her parents did not make it. A year later, Christine is recovered from her parents death, James proposes to her and she accepts. Christine gets pushed to the pool, after she gets out of the dark, she can't find her clothes and panicking drives home with her car. More closer the wedding day comes, the  more is Christine losing her mind and telling everyone somebody is stalking me. Christine claims repeatedly her dead father is staking her and has even taken her engagement ring. Susan, who is married to Christine's brother Bill thinks Christine is having a psychotic break and expresses her concern about his sister to her, though Bill takes it the wrong way, which causes intension in their relationship. John Anderson is James's employer, who's son Ryan is mentally disturbed young man, who doesn't make a difference between real and unreal. He also works under his father, when John asks him to help James during a shipment, they're on the road together with car and bike, James makes a crash and is taken to the hospital. Young people want desperately be together and decide to get married as soon as they can. John in worried about his son and contacts his psychiatrist Susan to explore treatments for him. Susan comes from meeting up with her friend, discussing Christine's case, she sees John crossing the road and sees how he is run over by a car driver, John dies instantly. Susan is shocked by the incident she saw and Bill finds her in the tub, bumbling about evil being in the house. Ryan keeps having images in his head about having an affair with Christine and them planning to murder people together. James and Christine get married and Bill sends them away to honeymoon in isolated cabin, a gift by John before he died. After John's death Susan is convinced Christine has developed two personalities in her mind, when Christine can't handle the pain from the death of her parents, Chrissy deals with grief in evil way, killing people. Christine and James arrive to the cabin, where they spend time as newlyweds. Though she should be happy by now and rid of paranoia, Christine calls up Bill and asks him to come around the cabin since she still feels somebody is following them. Ryan arrives to the cabin sooner than Bill does and hits James. Christine appears with cold feeling in her face, he realizes Christine and Ryan are going to kill him. Susan gets a hold of a phone, where the video of Christine's parents death is captured. James finally confesses he killed Christine's parents and though he begs her not to do it, Christine shoots him in the heart. They drag his body into the woods, but the police arrives and kills him too when he discovers a dead body of James. Christine makes a desperate phone call to Bill, saying Ryan Anderson killed James and she's afraid for her life. Christine distracts Ryan with hot lingerie she has put on, Bill arrives and finds Christine being chocked by Ryan. He enters the cabin and shoots Ryan.

Directed by Darin Scott, who directed and wrote screenplay for horror-thriller movie Dark House in 2009.
Something Wicked is the last movie Brittany Murphy filmed before she died.
